tropical pool

The brief for this landscape was to maximise the functionality in a narrow steeply sloping rear yard. We were also required to make a spectacular feature to wow guests as soon as they entered the open plan living areas of this modern home.

The pool was designed with an incorporated retaining wall structure. We clad this wall with Himalayan sandstone and included 3 sheet water features. The open plan living seamlessly flows to the alfresco BBQ area and on into the pool.

The house had a tropical feelwith Balinese styling, we emulated that in the garden with plantings of Ornamental bananas, Golden Cane Palms, Variegated gingers, Giant Strelitzias, Cordylines, Alocasias Clumping Bamboo and NZ rock lilies.
