The inspiration for this pergola was a breaking wave, it breaks over the entertaining areas. Formed with random length battens which are staggered across the cantilevered and attached beams and down the posts to form a privacy screen.

The privacy screen is not limited to the timber and steel structure careful placement of Giant Strelitzia plants also soften views into the entertaining area. Liriope Evergreen Giant are used as a lush massed bedding plant.

In addition to the tiled area below the pergola there is a built in BBQ with extended bench space, which is useful when entertaining. A stepping stone path with Scoria gravel pass beside a trickling urn water feature that provides gentle water sounds.
