lap pool

This native landscape surrounds a new luxury residence. Featuring in the rear yard is a lap pool with a raised feature spa. The glass wall & inbuilt lounges in the spa were designed to take in the district views over Garigal National Park.

The site has been carved out of the local sandstone and we utilised demolition stone and rendered block work to blend the natural with the constructed. Steel screens run along the pool & we’ve trained kangaroo vine over them to make a green wall.

The sites proximity to bush land required a predominantly native plant composition, with particular focus on plants suited to sandy soils. We also needed to meet RFS requirements for landscapes in bush fire prone areas.
