landscape management planning

The owners of this property saw adjoining properties being developed in a way that removed the sense of place and life from the land. They sought to develop their land into a sustainable community, an ecovillage.

Our initial engagement required us to assess existing trees and provide advise on their management. We then prepared landscape documentation for council approval of the ecovillage master plan.

The ecovillage Master plan was supported by the Landscape Management Plan. Given the nature of the future use of the lands a management plan was the most effective way to outline the future landscape development of the land.

This project won the prestigious 2013 AILDM National Design Award for Landscape Management.
