Our client had commissioned a modern architectural residence. We were specifically asked to include a koi pond and no lawns. We sought to create a sense of arrival and a journey through the garden to visit the various zones created around the home.

As the design progressed, we firmed up the landscape concept with overall layouts for the koi pond, site circulation paths, pavements, landforms and indicative planting composition ready for submission to council for development approvals.

Particular focus was provided to detailing the entry stairs, bin, and gas store with the green roof and garden lighting. The Koi pond adjoins all internal living areas and the outdoor entertaining area, we used frameless glass to maximise the connection to the home.
