garden of refuge
This garden was designed as a competition display garden for the Australian Garden Show Sydney. Entitled “Refugium” this garden was to provide a backyard escape from today’s busy urban lifestyle.
The pavilion provides an outdoor living environment which accommodates entertaining, relaxation and reflection. Constructed in a way that would allow deconstruction and reuse, from carefully selected sustainable materials.
The garden utilises mature plantings of Eumundi Quandongs, Acer ‘Senkaki’ & Tuckeroo’s to provide summer shade & winter sun. Bedding plants selected for their natural form, texture, flower and foliage colour providing a vibrant plantscape.
This garden won the 2014 Bronze Medal at the Australian Garden Show Sydney
