master planning

landscape development planning

Overall site master planning requires a holistic approach to land use planning, environmental management and regulatory approvals achieving compliance across Local, State and Federal government regulations.

A master plan allows the exploration of ideas options and potential schemes for the integration of site levels and the organisation of the landscape spaces into functional areas. Key initial considerations are the existing site features, land use and drainage.

We consider the base principles required for the proposed site functions and incorporate Water Sensitive Urban Design (WSUD) and Ecologically Sustainable Development (ESD) principles.

ecodesign has been involved with the development of the Illabunda Eco Village for a number of years utilising their horticultural and permaculture design skills to develop landscape plans incorporating endemic plantings as well as edible landscapes.

ecodesign has also provided arborist services and helped guide the development team through the involved process of planning an eco-sensitive housing development around the many mature trees on our site. They continue to play a key role in the ongoing management of our trees which are in close proximity to the infrastructure and housing development works.

ecodesign has a broad suite of skills and experience which enables their team to deliver a wide range of quality landscaping, horticultural and arborist services and I am very pleased to recommend ecodesign. Jonathan Cook – Illabunda Eco Village
